Not enjoying it all I assume? I thought it was great, but the controlled assessments weren't particularly fun! I'm supposed to write a commentary on a microeconomic article. There are several problems with this: 1) Eventhough I wrote one last year, I actually have no idea what I'm doing since I wasn't given any feedback as to whether I was doing the right thing. Google was not helpful as I couldn't find out how my particular uni wants them written. 2) Microeconomics is a rather broad subject no? And we're limited to articles publisjed between May 2016 to 6th November (since that's the deadline). 3) We're not supposed to use chapter 2 of the book, but I need to refer to it to be able to link chapters 3 and 4 with it... 4) Microeconomics 5) Graphs and shit

One of my step uncles, who I consider to be one of the lease desirable people in the state for a few big reasons, is apparently engaged. The moment my mom told me, I knew there was something behind it. Turns out I was right. The woman is a foreigner who has lifelong residency in the US, but wants permanent citizenship. BOY OH BOY. I wonder how long until they divorce? He doesn't have much either, but I hope he makes her sign an prenup. I mean, I'm going to get dual US/Canadian citizenship when I marry my fiance, and so will he, but that's more of a convenience for us. We're still not sure where we want to live (I like the thought of Newfoundland a lot because it's not as far from my family as Vancouver) and it would be nice to be able to go back and forth between the two countries freely. But it's not like I'm marrying him for the citizenship. Wait, isn't that illegal?

As far as my knowledge of US law goes, purely marrying for a permanent citizenship/green card is illegal, yes.

I think its a US thing where a spouse can acquire their spouse's nationality, cos I'm fairly certain it doesn't work like that here. Naturalisation generally requires some sort of test.

Nice to know people don't have much if any to vent about now and days. But I am now a bit bothered. My mom constantly tells me I need to feel good about myself and tells me I need to new wardrobe and to just buy things and get into something. So I buy some new pants, a new bra and a new shirt after I found out about Walmart's little store pick up and ship to your house option.
So I finally wear my new shirt today and my sister likes it. I go downstairs and my mom says she likes it but then tells me to lay off the ice cream. I'm about to heat up Chinese food but then it clicks that I had bought some ice cream a quiet the past few weeks. So basically she told me to lose weight.
Oh that's nice. Nag me until I get a new article of clothing and then tell me to lose weight because my stomach is kind of poking out.

The holidays were busy as fuck. My fiance came to visit (which was lovely) but I didn't have time to do much in the way of simming. I ended up sacrificing video game time to make gifts for a secret santa and to take care of my pixel dolling forum because my mods are always busy. But now I can finally Sim again! <3

I need to change the ironing day to some other afternoon. Trying to do the laundry after taekwondo class and waiting for an hour for mom to pick me up seems to tire me out.
Still have it easier than homemakers in the past, I guess. Should post more progress updates on the mechanical army too.

My niece is getting on my damn nerves! Gosh, misery really does love company since I'm the only one she talks to because everyone else obviously hates her. She is so full of herself thinking every conversation in the house is about her and thus she thinks everyone talks a bunch of crap about her even though she has done this for years mostly with my sister and I going back and forth telling lies about what the other said about the other.
She seems to think my mom and sister are jealous of her. Mind you she is just fifteen who does nothing but lay around, mooch off of people, claims she wants to get a job but gets mad when people tell her she can get one with a workers permit. Basically, she has nothing going for her and my mom and sister who have jobs, their own cars and money are jealous of her?
Okay.
I wish I was fed up enough to tell her off but I guess I have not gotten to that point yet. I'm getting excited about things that I want to do and here she is, nothing going on in her life, coming in my room talking shit. She seems to think it is us two against the rest of the house when really it is her against everyone. I'm fucking Switzerland dammit!

No idea why people like you on Tinder if, by an accidental match, they delete it anyway. Besides my profile isn't worth liking at all, I even wrote on my profile that I'm shy. A double warning (visual and textual) isn't enough apparently.

Okay, so I'm not really sure where to start ... my mother's father has had brain cancer for most of his life and now he is at that point of near-death. My mother has been really stressed out dealing with all of the responsibilities of being a care-giver to him and thus taking her stress out on those around her. Meanwhile one day to help my mother cope, me and her decided that every Friday would be a day we'd both get high and drink wine together, but it didn't take many Fridays until I found myself indulging and/or wanting to indulge everyday. This writes like a poorly-translated novel, but I'm certainly tired of the tension in my home currently, and I think I may just be developing an addiction to both substances mentioned... My appetite has reduced to the point where I'm only able to eat if I force myself or if I'm really high. I'm also sleeping much less than normal and have an insatiable desire for red wines.

Not really a vent/rant per se, but I still find it annoying that I got a ban from MTS for something which isn't even against the rules there. Sure, I was a dick. I completely acknowledge that. But I didn't break a single site rule. Ah well, I should have expected that from a site created by a pedophile and currently operates under a cult-of-personality. ~Regards, Forum Jackal-Head
